Fellow Williamsburg Residents,

The ballots have been counted and, unfortunately, we have not been successful. I did not win a seat on the Williamsburg City Council.

I can't tell you how grateful I am, though, to my hard-working campaign staff of volunteers, my supporters, and my family. We gave it our best and we came very close.

This election, however, was historic. It will forever change the relationship the City of Williamsburg shares with The College of William and Mary. Students will have a voice in city issues that they never had before.

I wish to congratulate each one of my fellow candidates for running positive campaigns with a strong focus on the issues facing Williamsburg. We are all winners when it comes to working hard to serve the voters of this city. They deserve nothing less.

Now I pledge to continue my work on building bridges in the community and creating solutions that are meaningful for all citizens.
